Why do we ask for the cvv?
CVV is required to complete card transactions and it provides added security against scams. We do not store CVV codes.
Why do we ask people to cover their donation transaction costs?
Adding 6.5% transaction cost to a donation covers donation platform and credit card fees, ensuring that 100% of the donation will go towards ASRC’s work assisting and empowering people seeking asylum.
The donor doesn't want to share some personal information (email, phone number).
If there is a field that the donor doesn’t want to share, please type 0000000000 (10 zeros) for the phone field.
If they do not want to give their email address, the default is fundraising@asrc.org.au
Other types of payments
- PayPal: NOT AN OPTION over the phone. To use PayPal, direct donors to asrc.org.au/telethon
- Direct debits: Use a manual donation form to take down ALL their personal details and READ them back to ensure they are correct. Tell them we will email them very soon with an overview of all the details for the bank transfer.
- Cheque/Money order: Make the chq/money order out to the ‘Asylum Seeker Resource Centre’ and post to PO Box 2381, Footscray VIC 3011. Complete a manual donation form with ALL their personal details and READ them back to ensure they are correct.
