The recent evacuation of refugees from Nauru brought one chapter in a decade of harm to an end. But ten years after our government forced them to brutal overseas detention camps, dozens of people who came here for safety are still trapped in Papua New Guinea.
Your monthly donation helps us keep on fighting for people trapped in PNG and advocate for the policy changes that effectively protect and help people seeking asylum.
Your monthly donation can help to
Provide essentials like nappies, toothpaste, deodorant, and laundry powder for families with no other support.
Put dinner on the table for people who aren’t allowed to make a living. This includes vegetables, milk, rice and lentils.
Provide housing to people seeking asylum giving them the chance to feel safe and start a new life.
Donations of $2 and over are tax-deductible. Funds raised by the ASRC are used to advocate for, support and empower over 7,000 people seeking asylum and refugees each year with the provision of support, food, housing, material aid, medical assistance, legal aid, counselling and employment services.
